How To Make Pellets From Sawdust Step By Step?
Raw Materials
Use sawdust as the main raw materials. To ensure sufficient raw material supplement and continuous production, the storage area should be around 500 square meters. You are suggested to prepare 500~600 tons of saw dust, which can ensure at least 15 days of pellet production. The ceiling of raw material warehouse should be able to resistant rain, lighting and wind. Set the production area at least 50 meters away from the living area, 30 meters away from the highway and power transformer. Besides, isolation measure and fire prevention facilities are also necessary, in order to ensure production safety.
Screening
Through screw conveyer, the sawdust will be sent to sieving machine for screening. In this process, large pieces of wood, iron or other impurities will be screened out.
DryerDrying
Biomass pelletizing has strict requirements on the moisture content of raw materials. After screening, the saw dust will be sent to roller dryer by spiral conveyor. In the dryer machine, the sawdust can be dried to preset moisture content through hot air.
Cyclone Separation
After drying, there will be a lot of moisture in the air during the transmission. With cyclone separator, the moisture will be discharged. There are two sets of cyclone separator in this sawdust pellet mill plant. After cooling the sawdust pellets, another cyclone is needed to separate the pellets and moisture.
Conveying

Cooling Machinecooling
When discharging from the pallet making machine, the temperature is around 80~90 ℃. The structure is relatively loose and easy to be broken. Through counter flow cooling system, the pellets will be cooled to room temperature and become tight and durable. Then, they can be packaged in bags or be conveyed to storage silo. Except cooling fan, the cooling system is also designed with cyclone separator which is used to separate the powder from the pellets and send the powder back to the front pelletizing procedure.

New die. Please check up whether the compression ratio is matching up to the raw materials at first. If the compression ratio is too big, the resistance force that material pass through the die holes are increasing, the extruding pellet is hard and the output is lower; if the compression ration is so small that the extruding pellet can not molded. So it is necessary to choose a proper compression ration one more time. The second is to check up the degree of finish of holes of ring die. Bad quality ring dies has rough surface of ring die holes, and the resistance force of discharging is so big that the surface of the pellets is rough with low output. At last, check up the round ring die is out-of-round or not. This can give rise to lower output of the pellets. So it is necessary to choose a high quality ring die.
After the flat die is in operation for a period of time, please check up whether the taped holes of inside flat die is wearing or not, and the compression rollers are wearing or not. If the wearing resistance is serious, please maintain the ring die and countersink the wearing taped hole. The wearing compression rollers much be replaced. The wearing of the ring die holes affected the output greatly.
To adjust the clearance of the die and compression rollers. Too small clearance can increase the friction force of the compression rollers and ring die with short life span of ring die. Big clearance gives rise to slipping of the compression rollers with lower output.
