What are the factors that affect the molding and quality of biomass pellets? In fact, there are only two points:
1. The moisture content of biomass raw materials. The moisture content of raw materials in the molding process of biomass pellet machines is quite demanding. It is best to control the value at about 20%. If the moisture content is too high or too low, the raw materials will not be formed or even poorly formed.
2. The compression ratio of the mold of the biomass pellet machine. The best solution for the compression ratio of the mold of the biomass pellet machine is to select the critical point of the processing raw material. But the control of this critical point requires the personnel to tailor the mold compression ratio for you. Choosing different mold compression ratios according to different raw materials is an important means to control the quality of biomass pellets.

What is the compression ratio of the ring die and how to calculate the compression ratio:
The compression ratio of the ring die of the pellet machine equipment refers to the ratio of the effective length of the ring die hole to the diameter of the ring die hole. It is an indicator of the extrusion strength of the biomass pellet machine. The larger the compression ratio, the stronger the extruded pellets, but the output will be relatively lower. The smaller the compression ratio, the pellets will have a rough surface and poor molding, but the output will be very high. Under the same compression ratio, the greater the roughness value, the greater the pellet extrusion resistance, the more difficult the discharge, and excessive roughness also affects the quality of the pellet surface. The diameter of each small hole of the pellet machine ring die is 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm.
Assuming that the diameter of the ring die hole is 8mm, the mold thickness is 66mm, and the release hole is 18mm, then the compression ratio = (66-18)/8=6, and then the compression ratio of the mold is 1:6.
