The raw materials of straw pellets mainly include various crop straws such as corn straw, rice straw, wheat straw, and cotton straw. Among them, corn straw and rice straw are the most common raw materials, which are widely used due to their high fiber content, good formability, and high fuel value.
When selecting raw materials for straw pellets, the following aspects need to be considered:
1. Fiber content: The higher the fiber content, the better the pellet formability and the higher the fuel value.
2. Moisture content: The moisture content should be controlled below 10%. Excessive moisture will affect pellet forming and combustion effects.
3. Impurity content: Straw with less impurity content should be selected to avoid affecting the forming and combustion effects.

The moisture content of the raw materials required by the straw pellet machine is generally between 10% and 20%. If the raw materials are too wet, it is easy to cause the pellet machine to jam and block seriously, affecting the normal output of the pellet machine. If the raw materials are too dry, it is easy to cause a large amount of dust to be generated. Therefore, when using the straw pellet machine to make pellets, dry raw materials should be selected, and corresponding treatment methods should be taken when the humidity of the raw materials is too high.
The straw pellet machine also has certain requirements for the size of the raw materials, which should be controlled between 3mm and 5mm. If the raw material size is too small, it is easy to bring more broken materials and dust, affecting the normal operation of the pellet machine. If the raw material size is too large, it is easy to cause problems such as jamming and blocking of the pellet machine.
