What is the function of the wood briquette press machine?
content
The core components of a sawdust brick press include a feeding device, forming system, transmission system, heating device, and cutting and control system. These components work precisely together to ensure a smooth process from raw material input to finished product output. Some components are interchangeable with those of a wood pellet mill, but specifications and materials differ. The feeding device is typically a screw feeder, driven by a motor to rotate the screw shaft, uniformly feeding pre-treated wood chips into the forming cavity. Output can be controlled by adjusting the feeding speed to prevent overloading the equipment due to excessive raw material. This is consistent with the feeding device logic of a wood pellet mill, but the screw shaft diameter is larger to accommodate the raw material requirements for block forming.
The forming system is the core of a corn stalk briquette making machine, consisting of pressure rollers, molds, and the forming cavity. It directly determines the quality of the finished product and differs significantly from the forming system of a wood pellet mill. The pressure roller is made of wear-resistant alloy steel with anti-slip texture to enhance gripping force on wood chips and prevent slippage. Its pressure bearing capacity is higher than that of wood pellet machine pressure rollers (which need to withstand 10-30MPa high pressure). The molds are divided into flat molds and ring molds. Flat mold models are suitable for small-scale equipment, while ring mold models are suitable for large-scale production. The mold aperture is 20-50mm, much larger than the 6-12mm aperture of wood pellet machines, and the mold thickness is also greater to ensure the structural strength of the finished block. The forming cavity is a sealed structure with an external heating device. This is a key feature of wood briquetting machines compared to wood pellet machines; some wood pellet machine models do not require forced heating, as heat generated solely through extrusion friction is sufficient for forming.
The transmission system and heating device provide power and temperature assurance for the operation of the sawdust press machine. The transmission system consists of a motor, reducer, and belts or gears, transmitting power from the motor to the pressure rollers and feeding device. The motor power is matched to the equipment's capacity; small machines have a power of 15-30kW, while large machines can reach over 50kW, similar to the motor power of a wood pellet machine with the same capacity. The heating device is mostly an electric heating coil or heat-conducting oil heater, evenly surrounding the outside of the forming cavity, precisely controlling the temperature at 160-200℃ to ensure sufficient softening of lignin. However, wood pellet machines only require auxiliary heating when processing difficult-to-form raw materials and are not essential components.
The cutter and control system are responsible for optimizing finished product specifications and equipment operation. The cutter is installed at the mold exit and rotates via a motor. The cutting speed can be adjusted as needed to control the length of the finished block, functioning similarly to the wood pellet machine cutter, but with greater thickness and strength to meet the cutting requirements of blocky fuels. The control system is equipped with a touchscreen and sensors to monitor parameters such as temperature, pressure, and feeding speed in real time, facilitating precise operation and ensuring stable operation of the brillette extruder machine.
