Pay attention to the thickness of the ring die
The thickness of the ring die is another key factor affecting the output and quality of pelletizing, and it must be designed properly. Speaking of thickness, you should also know the compression ratio of the ring die (equal to the die hole length/die hole diameter). The higher the compression ratio, the higher the density of the pelletized particles and the smoother the surface. But if the compression ratio is set too high, it will be difficult for the pelletizer to discharge the material, and it may even clog the pelletizer. But how to judge whether the compression ratio is appropriate? In fact, this is not a simple question. The compression ratio is affected by many factors such as the die hole diameter, the final pellet length, and the pelletizing material.

Ensure that the pressure roller and the ring die cooperate well
The gap between the pressure roller and the die head should also be appropriate, generally between 0.1mm and 0.3mm. If the gap is too large, the extrusion force is insufficient, which can easily cause difficulty in discharging particles or even block the machine; if the gap is too small, it is easy to damage the pressure roller and the die head. Adjusting the gap is a relatively difficult task and requires experience and skills. Ensure that the pressure roller and the ring die cooperate well. The gap between the pressure roller and the die head should also be appropriate, generally between 0.1mm and 0.3mm.
