Gramineous hay has a high fiber content and is a high-quality biomass fuel raw material, but care must be taken to avoid mold growth. Therefore, when selecting hay raw materials, priority should be given to high-quality hay that is bright in color, odorless, and free of mold.

For adult livestock, a die diameter of 5-6 mm can be chosen. When processing biomass fuel, to ensure combustion efficiency, a die diameter of 6-8 mm is typically selected. Pellet length can be adjusted using the machine's cutter, generally controlled within 2-5 times the diameter. Furthermore, the heating system of the equipment also affects pellet formation. Some wood pellet machines are equipped with ring die heating devices, which can increase the stickiness of hay powder through heating, promoting pellet formation, especially suitable for hay raw materials with high fiber content and poor stickiness.

 

The standardization of the processing technology in small biomass wood pellet machines is also crucial. In the raw material pretreatment stage, the uniformity of particle size is essential. If the particle size difference of the pulverized hay powder is too large, it will lead to uneven feeding, thus affecting the density and hardness of the pellets. During the pressing process, the feeding speed needs to be kept stable. If the feeding is too fast, it will cause a sudden increase in pressure inside the pressing chamber, overloading the equipment and making the particles prone to cracking. If the feeding is too slow, it will reduce production efficiency and result in insufficient particle density. At the same time, the temperature and humidity of the processing environment will also have a certain impact on particle quality. In a humid environment, it is necessary to strengthen the drying treatment of raw materials to prevent the particles from absorbing moisture from the air and softening.
