What Are the Three Types of Small Sawdust Briquette Press Machines?

content

The screw press briquetting machine is the most widely used type, its working mechanism focusing on "continuous extrusion + frictional heating," making it suitable for large-scale continuous production scenarios. During operation, a motor drives a high-speed rotating screw shaft. The screw shaft, through a gradually narrowing structure, pushes loose wood chips forward from the feed inlet, creating a high pressure of 15-30 MPa. Simultaneously, the wood chips experience intense friction with the screw shaft and the inner wall of the forming cavity, generating heat that raises the temperature to 160-200℃. The lignin melts and binds, ultimately being extruded into columnar shapes from the forming holes. These are then cut into fixed-length blocks of fuel by a cutter. The entire process is continuous, with an hourly output of 1-5 tons, suitable for large-scale biomass fuel processing plants.

The hydraulic wood briquette making machine employs an "intermittent pressurization + constant temperature heating" working mechanism, resulting in strong forming stability and suitability for low-fiber, high-moisture raw materials. During operation, the hydraulic system drives the pressure head via cylinders, pushing sawdust from the hopper into the molding die, applying a high pressure of 20-40 MPa. Simultaneously, a heating device on the outside of the molding die maintains a constant temperature of approximately 180°C to ensure sufficient softening of the lignin. After pressurization, the pressure head returns, and the formed lumps of fuel are ejected from the die for the next cycle. Although it operates intermittently, the finished product has uniform density, high strength, and a breakage rate of less than 5%, making it suitable for processing high-end machine-made charcoal blanks.

The flat die wood chip briquetting machine operates on a "pressure roller pressing + die forming" mechanism. Its simple structure and convenient operation make it suitable for small workshops and rural projects. During operation, the motor drives the main shaft to rotate the pressure roller, which presses the sawdust on the flat die into the die hole. The extrusion through the die hole forms a columnar shape. A heating device can be installed on the outside of the die hole to assist in softening the lignin. The forming pressure can reach 10-20 MPa, with an hourly output of 300-800 kg. These types of sawdust briquette presses have a simple structure, low maintenance costs, and easy replacement of wear parts (pressure rollers, flat dies). They are also highly mobile, and some models can be equipped with diesel engines, making them suitable for scenarios without a stable power supply.

The working mechanism of different types of sawdust briquette press machines determines their adaptability. Screw extrusion machines prioritize efficiency, hydraulic machines prioritize quality, and flat dies prioritize convenience. The choice should be based on production capacity, raw material characteristics, and product requirements. The core principle of all types revolves around achieving lignin self-bonding and molding through "high pressure + high temperature."
