Too fine (below 2mm) results in excessive flowability, causing leakage and sticking to the mold during briquette making. A grading sieve can be used to screen out substandard sawdust particles, allowing for secondary crushing to ensure uniform particle size. After optimization, the briquette forming rate of the charcoal briquette extruder machine can be increased from 85% to over 95%.
Moisture Content Control: Precisely controlled between 8%-15% to adapt to the briquette machine principle
Wood chip charcoal extruders rely on frictional heat to soften lignin. Moisture content is a key influencing factor-above 15%, sawdust easily adheres to the auger shaft and mold of the briquette machine, causing blockage and an uneven briquette surface; below 8%, the lignin cannot soften sufficiently, making the briquette prone to breakage. Moisture content can be precisely controlled using a combination of drying equipment and a hygrometer. In dry winter environments, humidification can be applied appropriately, while in humid summer environments, the drying time needs to be extended to ensure suitability for the briquetting machine's operating requirements.
Impurity Removal: Multiple Screening Processes Protect Bronching Machine Components
Impurities such as stones, metals, and plastics in sawdust not only cause severe wear on the sawdust charcoal extruder machine's auger shaft and molds, shortening component lifespan, but also result in defective briquette material that is brittle after carbonization. A two-stage screening process-vibrating screen and magnetic separator-is required to first remove large impurities, then adsorb metal fragments. Manual sorting may be necessary in some cases to prevent impurities from entering the briquetting machine, reducing briquetting machine maintenance costs by more than 30%.
