Problem 1: Loose and easily broken charcoal briquettes – Mismatch between charcoal making machine and raw material parameters
The core cause is insufficient briquetting machine pressure (below 15MPa), excessively low sawdust moisture content (below 8%), or insufficient fiber content. Solution: Adjust the briquetting machine pressure to 15-25MPa; check the hydraulic system or screw shaft for wear and replace worn parts promptly; adjust the sawdust moisture content to 8%-15%, optimize the blending ratio with high-fiber sawdust to ensure sufficient softening and binding of lignin, thus solving the loose briquette problem at its source.
Problem 2: Charcoal briquette extruder machine sticking and clogging – Imbalance between moisture content and temperature
This is often caused by excessively high sawdust moisture content (above 15%) and excessively high frictional heat generation temperature in the briquetting machine (above 220℃). Solution: Reduce the moisture content of sawdust and extend the drying or baking time; adjust the speed of the briquetting machine, control the temperature between 160-200℃, and regularly clean the residual sawdust in the mold, apply a small amount of vegetable oil to lubricate the mold, avoid sticking and clogging, and ensure continuous operation of the briquetting machine.
Problem 3: Rough or Cracked Surface of Rods – Equipment and Raw Material Issues
This stems from worn wood chip charcoal extruder molds, uneven sawdust particle size, or incomplete removal of impurities. Solution: Replace worn molds with alloy steel molds to improve wear resistance; re-screen sawdust to ensure uniform particle size and freedom from impurities; if cracks are longitudinal, appropriately increase the pressure of the briquetting machine to make the sawdust more compact and prevent cracking due to stress release after molding.
Problem 4: Decreased Capacity of Sawdust Log Maker Machine – Power and Component Wear
This is caused by insufficient motor power, worn screw shaft, or uneven feeding. Solution: Check the motor's operating status to ensure power matches the briquetting machine's capacity; for small briquetting machines, the motor power should not be less than 15kW; replace worn screw shafts and regularly add dedicated lubricating oil; optimize the feeding system by using a stirring device to ensure uniform sawdust feeding, avoiding excessive or insufficient feeding that could cause capacity fluctuations and ensuring capacity matching with subsequent carbonization processes.
