Hardwood sawdust (oak, birch) optimization techniques: Hardwood sawdust has high hardness and low lignin content, making it difficult to form and easily leading to low production capacity. Optimization directions: During pretreatment, use a two-stage crushing process to ensure uniform particle size of 3-5mm; mix in 20%-30% softwood sawdust to improve raw material viscosity; control the moisture content at 13%-15% to enhance the plasticity of the raw material; parameter adjustment: temperature 90-105℃, pressure 13-15MPa, feed speed set at 70%-80% of the rated capacity of the Wood Chip Pellet maker Machine to avoid equipment overload; equipment adaptation: select wear-resistant pressure rollers and molds to reduce component wear and ensure continuous production. For example, one user increased their production capacity from 0.6 tons/hour to 1.0 tons/hour after replacing the mold with a dedicated straw pellet machine when processing corn stalks.


Optimization Techniques for Mixed Raw Materials: The proportion of mixed raw materials needs to be controlled to avoid large differences in characteristics that could lead to fluctuations in production capacity. For example, when mixing softwood and hardwood, the softwood content should be no less than 60%; when mixing sawdust and straw, the straw content should not exceed 30%. During pretreatment, thorough and uniform mixing is crucial. The parameters of the biomass pellet making machine should be adjusted based on the raw material with the highest proportion, and then fine-tuned according to the molding results. For example, if softwood accounts for 70% and hardwood for 30%, the parameters should be based on the softwood content, with a 5°C increase in temperature and a 0.5MPa increase in pressure.
