How do you process damp particles using a Wood Chip Fuel Pellet Machine?
Step 1: Pre-treat slightly damp granules. Slightly damp granules (slightly sticky to the touch, not severely clumped) should be spread out in a ventilated area to dry for 1-2 hours, turning them 1-2 times to allow some surface moisture to evaporate. Then, use a sieve to remove severely clumped and powdery granules, leaving loose granules to prevent clumped granules from entering the equipment and causing blockages. If the granules are slightly clumped, gently crush them by hand and sieve again to ensure that all granules entering the equipment are loose. After pre-treatment, you can judge by touch; if they feel dry and loose, they are ready for processing.
Step 2: Adjust the parameters of the Flat Die Pellet Machine to suit slightly damp granules. First, adjust the feed speed. Compared to processing dry granules, the feed speed should be reduced by 30%-40%, using a low-speed, uniform feed to prevent granules from accumulating and sticking together in the pressing chamber. The speed can be controlled by adjusting the frequency of the feed motor; for example, if the original frequency was 50Hz, adjust it to 30-35Hz. Then adjust the pressing temperature, increasing it by 5-10℃. For example, if the original processing temperature for drying granules was 80℃, adjust it to 85-90℃. Increasing the temperature helps the moisture in the granules evaporate quickly and also enhances the granules' viscosity, improving the forming rate. Finally, adjust the pressing pressure, increasing it appropriately by 5%-10% to ensure the granules are fully extruded and formed.

Step 3: Start the machine for trial operation and gradually restore normal production. First, run the machine unloaded for 3-5 minutes to check if the equipment is operating normally and if there is any abnormal noise. Then, feed a small amount of pre-treated, slightly damp granules at a low speed and observe the equipment's operating status and granule forming. If the granules form well and the equipment is not clogged, slowly increase the feeding speed until normal production speed is restored. If poor granule forming or increased equipment vibration occurs, immediately reduce the feeding speed, check if the parameters are appropriate, adjust them, and try again. During the trial operation, closely monitor the current changes of the Best electric wood pellet mill. If the current exceeds the rated value, it indicates excessive load, and the feeding should be reduced promptly.

Step 4: Process the granules promptly to prevent them from becoming damp again. Processed pellets should be cooled to room temperature immediately, then sealed in packaging for storage. Do not leave them at the equipment outlet for extended periods to prevent absorption of moisture from the air. If a small number of pellets clump together during processing, they should be promptly screened out, dried separately, and then processed again. Additionally, after processing slightly damp pellets, the Wood chip pellet machine's inlet, pressing chamber, and outlet should be cleaned promptly to prevent residual damp pellets from clumping and affecting future use.
Key Reminder: If the pellets are severely damp (softened, powdery, or heavily clumped), this method should not be used. Thorough drying is essential first; otherwise, it will severely clog the equipment and accelerate component wear. The processing volume of slightly damp pellets should not exceed 70% of the equipment's rated capacity to ensure stable operation.
