The horizontal carbonization furnace is an internal heating carbonization furnace that can carbonize a variety of raw materials, such as logs, scraps, bamboo, coconut shells and other materials that are large in size. Because it is internally heated, the high-temperature flue gas generated after the carbonized flue gas is fully burned in the flue gas incineration chamber and the flue is used to drive the furnace. No energy needs to be added during the carbonization process. The carbonized flue gas is fully burned, there is no pollution to the environment, and the preheating is fully utilized.

The carbonization process of bamboo charcoal is divided into four stages: preheating, dry distillation, coking and cooling.
1. Preheating stage
First, the bamboo should be dried to remove excess moisture, and then put into the carbonization furnace for preheating. During the preheating stage, the furnace temperature needs to rise gradually. At the gradually increasing temperature, the moisture and volatile organic matter on the surface of the bamboo are gradually removed. In addition, attention should be paid to controlling the oxygen supply in the furnace to avoid excessive oxygen entering the carbonization furnace and affecting the quality of the subsequent carbonization process.
2. Dry distillation stage
After preheating, the bamboo enters the dry distillation stage. In the carbonization furnace, the bamboo will be heated by high temperature, the organic matter will begin to decompose, and the released gas will be discharged along the pipeline. During the dry distillation stage, the temperature gradually reaches about 200℃, the cellulose inside the bamboo begins to decompose, and a large amount of volatile organic matter is released.

 

3. Coking stage
When the temperature continues to rise to about 300℃, the solid components in the bamboo begin to transform into carbon, forming a stable carbonized product. The coking stage is the most important stage in the carbonization process of bamboo charcoal. The furnace temperature at this stage must be well controlled to avoid excessive temperature, which will lead to a decrease in the quality of the carbonized product.
4. Cooling stage
When the carbonized product burns out all the volatile organic matter, the bamboo charcoal enters the cooling stage. This stage is mainly to reduce the temperature of the carbonized product and the carbonization furnace to ensure the stability of the quality of the carbonized product.
