First, let's understand how a continuous carbonization furnace works. A continuous carbonization furnace usually consists of two heating zones, each with its own heater and temperature probe. PID control is a basic closed-loop control method commonly used for temperature control. It adjusts the output of the heater according to the deviation between the current temperature and the set temperature. By constantly monitoring and adjusting the power of the heater, PID control can keep the temperature near the set value and avoid overheating or overcooling.
Feedforward control is a method of adjusting the output of the heater in advance based on a predictive model. It is based on the understanding of the dynamic characteristics of the system, and avoids temperature fluctuations by predicting temperature changes and adjusting in advance. Feedforward control can provide a fast response to reduce the impact of temperature.
When the carbonization temperature is high, the pyrolysis gas produced by carbonization of raw materials in the carbonization furnace becomes more. We can use the excess pyrolysis gas by exhausting or storing it or other methods. Avoid burning too much pyrolysis gas to further increase the temperature.
In addition, we can use mechanical ventilation and forced cooling air to exchange heat and cool down. Forced ventilation is a method of accelerating cooling by introducing cold air or exhausting hot air in the furnace. However, the thermal balance between the internal and external environment of the furnace needs to be considered.
