Symptoms include poor crusher discharge and raw material accumulation at the pellet mill inlet. Causes: Raw material pieces are too large (exceeding the crusher screen aperture), raw material moisture content is too high (exceeding 20%), causing adhesion and screen blockage. Solutions: Crush large pieces of raw material to meet crusher requirements (≤10mm); dry raw material to a moisture content ≤15%; clean the crusher screen blockage and replace damaged screens. **Category 2:** Large fluctuations in raw material moisture content lead to poor pellet formation. Symptoms include inconsistent pellet quality from the same batch of raw materials, with some being loose and others cracked. Causes: Uneven drying of raw materials, uneven mixing of wet and dry raw materials, and lack of moisture content testing. Solutions: Use layered drying to ensure uniform drying; thoroughly stir when mixing raw materials and monitor in real time with a simple moisture content meter; dry wet raw materials separately before mixing with dry raw materials.

Symptoms include frequent die clogging during production, requiring repeated cleaning and resulting in extremely low efficiency. Causes: High oil content in raw materials (e.g., pine needles, palm shells), excessively fine raw material particle size (less than 1mm), and excessively high pressing temperature leading to carbonization and adhesion of the raw materials. Solutions: Reduce the oil content of mixed woody raw materials (e.g., sawdust), ensuring the proportion is not less than 70%; adjust the pulverizer screen to ensure a raw material particle size of 2-5mm; reduce the feeding speed and increase heat dissipation time to prevent raw material carbonization. Second Category: Rough Particle Surface with Burrs. Symptoms include an uneven particle surface with obvious burrs, leading to easy powder shedding. Causes: Rough inner wall of the die, wear on the pressing roller surface, and excessive impurities in the raw material. Solutions: Disassemble the vertical ring die pellet machine mold and polish the inner wall of the die with a special grinding tool; check the surface texture of the pressing roller, replacing it if severely worn; strengthen raw material impurity removal through double filtration using a vibrating screen and magnetic separator. Third Category: Sudden Increase in Energy Consumption and Motor Overload During Pressing. The symptoms include a sudden increase in motor current, increased energy consumption, and decreased pellet production. Causes: Raw material moisture content is too low (below 12%), the gap between the pressure roller and the die is too small, and the die orifice is clogged. Solutions: Appropriately increase the raw material moisture content to 12%-15%; increase the gap between the pressure roller and the die to 0.2-0.3mm; thoroughly clean the die orifice blockage.
