Second, equipment costs. A small production line (2 tons per day) requires an investment of approximately 80,000 yuan, a medium-sized production line (10 tons per day) approximately 400,000-600,000 yuan, and a large production line (30 tons per day) exceeding 800,000 yuan. Depreciation is amortized over 8 years, with a small line depreciating by approximately 27 yuan per day. Thirdly, there are energy and labor costs. A small biomass pellet maker machine consumes approximately 60-80 kWh of electricity per ton of pellets. At an industrial electricity price of 1 yuan/kWh, the energy cost is 60-80 yuan/ton. Industrial-grade pellets, due to their high calorific value (16-19 MJ/kg) and low emissions, can reach 1000-1200 yuan/ton, while residential heating pellets are slightly cheaper, at approximately 800-900 yuan/ton. Taking a small production line (2 tons per day) as an example, with a raw material cost of 250 yuan/ton, a comprehensive cost of 600 yuan/ton, and a selling price of 900 yuan/ton, the gross profit per ton is 300 yuan. Assuming a monthly output of 52 tons over 26 days, the monthly gross profit is approximately 15,600 yuan. After deducting fixed costs such as equipment depreciation, the monthly net profit is approximately 12,000 yuan, and the equipment investment can be recouped within 6-10 months. If a medium-sized production line is used, leveraging economies of scale to reduce the cost per ton to 500 yuan/ton and a selling price of 1,000 yuan/ton, the monthly net profit for a daily output of 10 tons can reach over 120,000 yuan, significantly increasing profit margins.

 

It is important to note that profitability is also affected by production efficiency. The best electric wood pellet mill can achieve a molding rate of over 95%, while inferior equipment has a molding rate of less than 80%, directly increasing raw material waste costs. Therefore, choosing high-quality equipment with a domestic content rate exceeding 90%, although requiring a slightly higher initial investment, can further expand profit margins by improving efficiency. In summary, assuming sufficient raw materials and stable sales, the net profit per ton of fuel produced using wood pellet machines can be maintained at 200-700 yuan, demonstrating clear profit potential.
