How to Store Homemade Wood Pellets and Maintain small home use biomass wood Pellet mill?

content

First, let's discuss how to store homemade sawdust pellets. The key is to prevent moisture, ensure ventilation, and avoid light. Household storage is usually small, so three simple methods are recommended: 1. Sealed bag storage: Pack the pellets, cooled to room temperature, into thickened plastic sealed bags. Seal each bag tightly and place it in a dry cardboard box. Elevate the bottom of the box by 10-15cm using wooden blocks to prevent contact with ground moisture. 2. Storage in storage containers: Use metal or plastic storage containers with sealed lids. Pack the pellets into the container, seal the lid tightly, and place 1-2 packets of desiccant inside to absorb residual moisture. Place the container in a well-ventilated, dark corner. 3. Short-term storage: If the pellets will be used within one month, they can be stored directly in a dry warehouse or on a balcony, spread out to a thickness of no more than 10cm. Turn them regularly to prevent localized moisture absorption.

Storage Precautions: Before storage, ensure the pellets have completely cooled to room temperature. Avoid storing hot pellets in sealed containers as this can cause condensation and moisture absorption. During rainy days or the plum rain season, minimize opening the storage container to prevent humid air from entering. Regularly check the pellet condition; if slight dampness is found, spread them out to dry immediately to prevent further moisture absorption. Do not store pellets with moisture-absorbing items (such as cement or fertilizer) to prevent cross-contamination.

Next are the daily maintenance tips for the domestic wood pellet machine, focusing on three key steps: cleaning, lubrication, and inspection. The first step is cleaning. After each use, thoroughly clean the inside of the machine to remove any residual material, including the feed inlet, pressing chamber, pressure rollers, flat die, and die holes. This prevents material residue from hardening and causing blockages or wear on parts during subsequent use. Wipe the machine surface clean with a clean cloth to remove dust and stains, keeping the machine tidy.

The second step is lubrication. Lubrication is crucial for extending the lifespan of the small biomass pellet maker machine. The pressure roller bearing and reducer are key lubrication points. Every 200 hours of operation, add high-temperature grease (use lithium-based grease, which is heat-resistant and provides excellent lubrication) to the pressure roller bearing. Change the gear oil in the reducer every 1000 hours of operation. When changing the oil, completely drain the old oil and add new oil to the specified level to avoid mixing old and new oils, which can affect lubrication. Add the appropriate amount of grease; too much or too little will affect lubrication. Follow the dosage standards in the equipment manual.

The third step is regular inspection. Check the core components of the second-hand biomass pellet machine weekly: the wear of the pressure roller and flat die; if grooves appear on the surface or the wear depth exceeds 2mm, repair or replace them promptly; check the sharpness of the cutter; if the cutter becomes dull and the pellets are cut unevenly, sharpen it promptly; tighten any loose anchor bolts and connecting bolts; replace any damaged safety guards and seals promptly to avoid safety hazards and moisture damage to the equipment. If the equipment is not used for an extended period (more than one month), it should be thoroughly cleaned, and anti-rust oil should be applied to core components such as pressure rollers and flat molds. The equipment should be covered with a dust cover and stored in a dry and ventilated place.
