Common Problems and Solutions for Sawdust Briquette Making Machines

content

The operational stability of a Sawdust brick press machine is affected by multiple factors, including raw materials, parameters, and equipment condition. Common malfunctions are often related to imbalances in the operating mechanism. Accurately identifying and optimizing the cause can significantly improve equipment efficiency and finished product yield.

Malfunction 1: Material jamming and machine shutdown. This often occurs during the feeding or molding stages. The main causes are excessively large raw material particle size (over 8mm), excessively high moisture content (over 15%), or residual lumpy material in the molding cavity or die holes.

Solution: Stop the machine and clean the feeding channel and molding cavity. Screen out excess raw materials and re-crush them. Adjust the raw material moisture content to 8%-12%. During daily operation, regularly clean the die holes to prevent hardened material residue. Also, install a screen at the hydraulic wood briquette making machine's feed inlet to intercept large impurities.

Malfunction 2: Loose and cracked finished products. The core causes are insufficient pressure, excessively low temperature, or excessively low lignin content.

Solutions: 1. Increase the pressure according to the type of small wood chip briquette press machine (20-30MPa for screw extrusion type, 30-40MPa for hydraulic type), and raise the temperature to 180-200℃ to ensure sufficient softening of lignin. If the raw material is low-fiber, mix in 20%-30% sawdust to increase viscosity. Monitor the finished product status in real time during operation. If slight cracking occurs, appropriately reduce the feed speed and extend the residence time of the material in the forming chamber.

Fault 3: Equipment overheating or excessive load. Causes include excessive pressure, excessive speed, insufficient lubrication, or severe wear of vulnerable parts.

Solutions: Appropriately reduce the pressure and speed. Check the lubrication system and add special lubricating oil to gears, bearings, etc. If the pressure rollers and screw shaft are severely worn, replace them promptly to avoid overheating due to increased frictional resistance. The continuous operation time of the husk briquette machine should not exceed 8 hours; it needs to be stopped periodically to cool down and extend the equipment's service life.

Operational optimization techniques: Establish equipment maintenance logs, regularly inspect vulnerable parts, lubrication systems, and temperature control devices, and conduct a comprehensive overhaul once a month; preset parameters based on raw material characteristics, conduct small-scale tests before mass production, and optimize pressure and temperature combinations; use dust removal equipment to reduce the pollution of wood dust to the equipment control system, while improving the working environment and ensuring the long-term stable operation of the biomass briquette making machine.
