There are two main reasons why biomass pellet machines do not form well. One is that the moisture content of the raw materials is high. The moisture content of the raw materials for making biomass pellets should be controlled at around 13%-18%, but this moisture content is not fixed. Some adjustments can be made according to the different raw materials. The moisture content of different raw materials is also different. If the moisture content of the raw materials is high, the pellets will be fluffy, soft, cracked, and scattered. If the moisture content is low, the pellets will be short and powdery.

Product Analysis
The second is the compression ratio of the biomass pellet machine and the gap between the die and the pressure wheel. The compression ratio of the die is the key point of pellet forming. If the compression ratio of the die is large, the pellets are hard and the machine is prone to high temperature. If the compression ratio is small, the pellets are powdery and short. The biomass pellet machine relies on the extrusion of the pressure wheel and the die, so the gap between the die and the pressure wheel is very important.
Biomass pellets, also known as wood chip pellets, are mainly made from sawdust, shavings, bark, sanding powder, waste wood, and branches produced in wood processing and wood-based panel production; various types of straw produced after crop harvest; and other types of combustible biomass. They are used for combustion, barbecue, and fireplace heating. Their combustion efficiency exceeds 80% (exceeding the combustion efficiency of ordinary coal by about 60%), with high combustion efficiency and less sulfur dioxide, ammonia nitrogen compounds, and dust.
