Why The Biomass Pellet Machine Does Not Form Pellets?
1. The moisture content of the raw materials does not meet the standard
Water content is one of the key factors affecting pellet forming. The moisture required for biomass pellet machine pelleting is generally between 10% and 15%. Too wet or too dry will lead to problems such as failure to form, sticking to the mold or loose pellets.
2. Inappropriate fiber length of raw materials
If raw materials such as straw, wood chips, and rice husks are not fully crushed and the fiber length exceeds the standard, there will be blockage, difficulty in pushing materials, and unstable pellet forming.
3. The compression ratio of the mold does not match
Different raw materials require different mold compression ratios. For example, pine wood, bamboo chips, rice husks, palm shells, etc. have very different requirements for compression ratios. Improper use of molds will directly lead to low forming rates.

4. Insufficient mold temperature
The biomass pellet machine needs to use heat energy to soften the fibers during pelleting. If the temperature does not reach the melting point, the pellets cannot be compacted, resulting in powder overflow and loose agglomeration.
5. Insufficient or unstable machine pressure
The main shaft pressure of the pellet machine is directly related to the pressing and molding effect. If the motor power is not matched, the reduction box is aging, and the pressing wheel is loose, the pellets will be loose or cannot be molded at all.
6. No pretreatment equipment is used
Some high-ash and high-fiber raw materials such as cotton stalks and peanut shells are directly put into the machine without being crushed, dried, or screened, which will significantly reduce the molding effect.
