1. Equipment Type and Configuration

There is a significant price difference between ring die pellet mills and flat die pellet mills. The former is more suitable for high-volume industrial use, and therefore naturally has a higher cost.

Configurations such as automatic lubrication, servo feeding systems, and high-efficiency dust removal significantly increase costs, but can improve production capacity and equipment lifespan.

2. Materials and Manufacturing Standards

High-strength alloy steel, precision-forged rollers, and dies are key materials that determine lifespan and forming efficiency. Industry-recognized standards such as Q235B and 42CrMo alloy steel directly influence equipment pricing.

3. Motor and Gearbox Selection

Choosing Siemens standard motors or national standard Class 1 energy-efficiency motors, while requiring a higher initial investment, offers stable operation and low energy consumption, making them key to long-term cost optimization.

A pellet mill primarily relies on the squeezing force of a pressure wheel against a die to compress the raw material through the die holes. This process involves:
Controlling the raw material moisture content (optimally between 12% and 18%);
Pressure regulation and die hole design determine pellet density and pellet formation rate;
Wear resistance and heat dissipation system design influence the equipment's continuous operation capability.

For this reason, pellet mills with high-quality structural design and manufacturing processes are more efficient in pelletizing complex raw materials such as straw, sawdust, and rice husks. While slightly more expensive, they offer excellent value for money.
