Wood Chip Charcoal Extruder: How to Solve Common Problems?
Product Description
Problem 1: Loose and Fragile Charcoal Blocks – Sawdust Log Maker Machine and Temperature Adaptation Issues
The core reason is insufficient wood shaving density (below 1.0 g/cm³) or excessively high carbonization temperature (above 600℃). Solution: Adjust the briquetting machine parameters, increasing the pressure to 15-20 MPa to ensure the wood shaving density meets the standard; reduce the carbonization machine temperature to 400-550℃ and extend the cooling time. Simultaneously, the briquetting machine must ensure the wood shavings have a moisture content of approximately 12% to avoid insufficient briquette density, thus addressing the loose charcoal block problem at its source.
Problem 2: Fire During Carbonization – Oxygen Content and Raw Material Issues
This stems from excessive oxygen content (above 5%) or the presence of flammable impurities in the raw materials. Solutions:
1. Check the sealing device of the carbonization machine, repair leaks, and reduce the ventilation volume; use a pre-screening process on the sawdust charcoal machine to remove flammable impurities such as plastic and paper from the sawdust, while simultaneously pressing dense sawdust briquettes to reduce dead zones and prevent local oxygen accumulation.

Problem 3: Insufficient Volatile Matter Recovery – Heating Rate and Raw Material Form
Due to an excessively rapid heating rate (exceeding 10℃/min) or excessively large sawdust briquette diameter (exceeding 50mm), volatile matter overflows rapidly and cannot be recovered.
Solution: Adjust the heating rate to 5-8℃/min; replace the briquetting machine mold, adjusting the sawdust briquette diameter to 20-30mm to improve the uniformity of volatile matter overflow. Simultaneously, ensure the briquette surface is smooth to prevent excessive porosity and volatile matter leakage.
Problem 4: Excessively Long Carbonization Cycle – Raw Material and Heat Source Issues
This is often caused by excessively low sawdust briquette density and insufficient heat source supply. Solution: Optimize briquetting machine parameters to increase briquetting density to 1.1-1.2 g/cm³, enhancing heat transfer efficiency; inspect the heating device of the rice husk charcoal making machine, cleaning accumulated ash or replacing the burner to ensure a stable heat supply. Match the briquetting machine and carbonization machine's capacity to avoid uneven temperature distribution within the furnace due to excessive raw materials, further shortening the carbonization cycle.
