What are the precautions for operating a Biomass fuel pellet machine?

Thorough and meticulous preparation before starting the machine is essential to avoid damage caused by hasty startup. First, check the lubricating oil level of the biomass wood pellet machine to ensure it is within the specified range. Insufficient lubricating oil will cause dry friction of parts; use the manufacturer-recommended type of lubricating oil and never mix different types of grease. Second, check the gap between the pressure roller and the die. The normal gap should be 0.1-0.3mm. If the gap is too large or too small, adjust it precisely using the adjusting bolts. Next, clean any residual material from the feed inlet, pressing chamber, and discharge outlet to prevent material clumping from affecting startup. Finally, check the electrical system to ensure that wiring is secure, there are no potential for leakage, and that sensors, alarms, and other safety devices are functioning properly. After completing all checks, conduct a 3-5 minute no-load test run to observe whether the equipment operates smoothly and without abnormal noise. Only begin feeding and processing after confirming there are no problems.

 

Real-time monitoring and parameter adjustment during operation are crucial for ensuring stable production. Operators must closely monitor the equipment's operating status, including parameters such as motor current, pressing pressure, and material temperature. Any abnormal fluctuations must be addressed promptly. For example, a sudden increase in motor current may indicate excessive feed or mold blockage, requiring immediate reduction of feed or shutdown for cleaning. An abnormal decrease in pressing pressure may indicate excessively high raw material moisture content or substandard particle size, necessitating adjustment of raw material parameters. A material temperature exceeding 100℃ may indicate a heating system malfunction or poor heat dissipation, requiring shutdown of the heating device and inspection of the cooling fan. Simultaneously, monitor the pellet forming condition. If cracks or loose pellets appear, adjust the moisture content or pressing pressure promptly. If the pellet surface is excessively smooth or has excessive hardness, reduce the pressing pressure or temperature. It is recommended to record operating parameters and fuel quality hourly and establish a production log for subsequent traceability and parameter optimization.

 

Shutdown operations must follow standardized procedures to avoid sudden shutdowns that could damage equipment or waste raw materials. The correct shutdown procedure is as follows: First, stop feeding and let the equipment idle for 2-3 minutes to process all residual material in the pressing chamber; then, turn off the heating system and motor power, and disconnect the main power supply after the equipment has completely stopped running; finally, clean the residual material from all parts of the equipment, especially the pressing chamber, die holes, and pressure roller surfaces. Use a special tool to unclog any material blocking the die holes, and wipe the core components clean with a cloth. If the Wood chip pellet machine will not be used for a long period, apply anti-rust oil to the pressure rollers, dies, and other metal parts and cover them with dust covers. It is strictly forbidden to stop the machine directly while it is feeding, nor to clean materials while the equipment is not completely stopped, to avoid safety accidents.
