Differences in Working Principles Between Sawdust Charcoal Making Machines and Sawdust briquette maker Machines
Product Description
Wood Chip Brick Making Machine (Bulching Machine): Lignin Self-Bonding + High-Pressure Extrusion
As a specialized briquette machine, its working principle is completely consistent with the biomass briquette press machine, with the core being the synergistic effect of "high pressure + high temperature". A motor drives the pressure rollers or screw shaft to apply 10-30MPa high pressure to fresh wood chips. Simultaneously, heat is generated through extrusion friction (or electric heating), raising the temperature to 160-200℃. The lignin in the wood chips softens and melts, forming a natural binder. After cooling, it solidifies and forms the briquettes. No binder needs to be added throughout the process, and the forming rate remains stable at over 90%.

Wood Chip Charcoal Extruder: Binder-Assisted + Screw Extrusion Molding
Because the raw material is lignin-free charcoal powder, it cannot self-bond. The charcoal powder and binder must first be mixed evenly in a specific ratio before being fed into the equipment. The equipment pushes the mixture through a high-speed rotating screw shaft, applying high pressure in the extrusion chamber to extrude the mixture into a preset shape (cylindrical or block-shaped). After molding, it needs to be dried to remove moisture and ensure the strength of the finished product. Some high-end models can improve bonding through high-temperature curing, but this relies heavily on the binder, a completely different logic from the self-bonding mechanism of briquetting machines.

Temperature and Pressure Control: Significant Parameter Differences
For wood dust briquetting machines, temperature control is crucial for lignin softening, ranging from 160-200℃. Pressure is adjusted according to the fiber content of the raw material (10-15MPa for high fiber, 20-30MPa for low fiber). Wood charcoal extruders do not require excessively high temperatures, only needing to be controlled at 80-120℃ (for drying the binder), while higher pressure (25-40MPa) is required to ensure a tight bond between the charcoal powder and the binder, preventing a loose finished product.

Power Transmission: Adapting to Differences in Raw Material Density
Wood chip brick making machines (briquetting machines) use loose wood chips as raw material, requiring moderate power; small models only need a motor power of 15-37kW. Wood chip charcoal powder has a higher density than fresh wood chips and greater extrusion resistance, so sawdust log making machines generally require higher motor power, with small models needing 30-55kW. The power transmission system is also more robust to prevent shutdown due to excessive load, a design logic different from that of briquetting machines.
