How does biomass pellet fuel go from chips to finished products?
biomass pellet making line
The core components of a typical biomass pellet production line typically include a grinder, dryer, pelletizer, and packaging machine. If the diameter of the raw material to be processed exceeds 100mm, a chipper is also required. These devices work together to form a complete production process from raw material to finished product.

| MKYK-90 | 132kw | 90 | 2.0-2.5 | 3.5-5.0 | 32*32*50-100 |
| MKYK-120 | 200kw | 120 | 3.0-4.0 | 4.0-6.0 | 32*32*50-100 |
| MKYK-150 | 250kw | 150 | 4.0-6.0 | 6.0-10.0 | 32*32*50-100 |
Key steps in the granulation process
► Chipping
In the initial stages of the pelletizing process, large wood chunks with diameters exceeding 100mm to 220mm are finely processed in a chipper to reduce them to strands smaller than 100mm. This step is crucial for the smooth progress of the subsequent pelletizing process.
► Pulverization
The pulverizer is a device specifically designed to finely pulverize wood strands with diameters ranging from 10mm to 100mm into sawdust. This step is crucial for the subsequent pelletizing process, ensuring the ideal raw material quality.
► Drying and Adjustment
The dryer is used to dry sawdust with a moisture content exceeding 20%. The goal is to maintain the moisture content within the optimal range of 10% to 15% to ensure a smooth pelletizing process.
► Pelletizing and Cooling
The biomass pelletizer processes the dried sawdust, which has a moisture content of 10% to 15%, into renewable biomass pellets suitable for direct combustion. After pelletizing, the pellets are stored in a cooling silo to ensure quality and extend their lifespan. The pellets are rapidly cooled in the silo before being finely packaged by a baler for easy storage and transportation.
